NoindexWatch is run by Lars Johannessen, a private person in Norway, who is the data controller. Requests about your data (access, correction, deletion): privacy@noindexwatch.com. Anything else: hello@noindexwatch.com.
When you use a free tool such as the noindex checker, we fetch the URL you enter and its robots.txt, show you the result, and discard it. The URL and the result are not saved.
To stop abuse, the server keeps your IP address in memory for up to one hour to count how many checks you have run. It is never written to disk. The web server does not keep access logs.
Accounts are not open yet. When they are, we will store:
We use this data only to run the service. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or send marketing email. Emails we send are login links, alerts and billing notices.
Check results older than 90 days are deleted automatically. If you delete your account, or ask us to at privacy@noindexwatch.com, we delete your email address, sites and check history within 30 days. Backups roll over within 7 days after that.
Paid plans are sold through Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly and handles tax. We never see or store card numbers. Stripe's handling of your data is covered by the Stripe privacy policy.
No tracking cookies, no ad pixels, no third-party analytics. Once accounts open, a single login cookie keeps you signed in.
Account data is processed to provide the service you signed up for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Rate limiting and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available (art. 6(1)(f)).
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to processing, by writing to privacy@noindexwatch.com. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
